"Lady with Flower Garland" painted by Raja Ravi Varma shows a Nair woman, dressed in traditional attire, weaving garlands of jasmine flowers.

This picture is a great example of his portrayals of beautiful sari clad women, who were painted very shapely yet graceful. Ravi Varma is one of the few painters who managed to accomplish a beautiful union of Indian tradition with the techniques of European art.
